Midsommar
Synopsis
Dani og Christian er et ungt amerikansk par, hvis forhold hænger i en tynd tråd. Efter en familietragedie inviterer den sørgende Dani sig selv med på Christian og vennernes tur til Midsommerfejring i en afsidesliggende svensk landsby. Det, der begynder som en afslappende sommerferie i det soloplyste Sverige tager hurtigt en mørk drejning, da landsbyboerne inviterer deres gæster til at deltage i festlighederne, som tager det svenske paradis i en mere og mere foruroligende retning. Fra den visionære instruktør Ari Aster (Hereditary, 2018) kommer et stærkt foruroligende eventyr, hvor mørkets rædsler udfoldes i klart dagslys.
