Synopsis
Renee Zellweger spiller hovedrollen som Beatrix Potter i denne eventyrlige biopic om forfatterinden og ophavskvinden til bl.a. figuren Peter Kanin. De, som umiddelbart forbinder Beatrix Potter med nuttede kaniner, står til at få et chok, når de ser denne skildring af hendes liv, der var præget af lige dele professionel succes og sørgen over privatlivet. Miss Potter fortæller den spændende historie om en forfatterinde, der ikke møder opbakning fra sin familie, og som forsøger at løsrive sig fra den konforme rolle som hustru i starten af 1900-tallet, bl.a. gennem en affære med sin forlægger Norman Warne, spillet af Ewan McGregor.
