Synopsis
Joe (Nicolas Cage) er professionel lejemorder.Vi møder ham første gang i Prag, hvor han demonstrerer, hvor effektivt han kan udføre sit job. Men det er i Bangkok, i Thailand, at han får et af sin karrieres større bestillingsarbejder. En lokal gangster har bestilt fire mord hos Joe, som til at begynde med hyrer en lokal medhjælper, et sendebud, som han iøvrigt kan skille sig af med, når opgaverne er løst. Den unge Kong (Shahkrit Tamnarn) får jobbet. Men trods sin professionalisme får Joe problemer. Ét af dem hedder Fon (Charlie Young) og er en smuk, døvstum thailandsk apotekerekspedient. Et andet er Kong, der gerne vil lære at slå ihjel…Filmen er en ny-indspilning af en prisbelønnet, thailandsk kult-thriller fra 1999.
