EDDIE
Synopsis
Lars Olafssen (Thure Lindhardt) var engang kunst-verdenens wunderkind, men efter en ulykke for 10 år siden, har han ikke malet og er hastigt på glemslens vej. Hans agent, Ronny, forsøger desperat at få ham til at male igen – han skal jo også leve – så han skaffer ham et job på en kunstskole ved Koda Lake i Canada i håbet om, at omskiftningen i miljø og de pittoreske omgivelser vil få Lars i gang igen. Kunstskolen er meget afhængig af sin mæcen, der desværre netop er afgået ved døden. Betingelsen for at lade skolen få hendes formue er, at de skal tage sig godt af hendes nevø, Eddie (Dylan Smith), der er stor, stærk og stum – men i bund og grund en rar og uskadelig tosse... Hvis der altså ikke er noget, der foruroliger ham… Da Lars lader ham bo hos sig, bryder Eddies natlige søvngængeri ud i lus lue, og han nøjes ikke med at gå tur – han slår også små dyr ihjel og spiser dem. De grufulde beviser på Eddies nattevandringer påvirker Lars i så voldsom grad, og han begynder at male igen – bedre end nogen sinde – så hans nye kreative åre kræver, at Eddie bliver ved med at gå i søvne, så Lars begynder aktivt at hjælpe ham. Indtil det går meget, meget galt…
