Synopsis
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begynder, da Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) og hendes medkombattant, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), vender hjem i live efter sammen at have vundet de 74. årlige Hunger Games. Men en del af sejren betyder desværre også, at de endnu en gang må forlade familie og venner for at tage på en omfattende og obligatorisk ‘Sejrstur’ til de øvrige 12 distrikter i det vidtstrakte Panem. Efterhånden som rejsen skrider frem, fornemmer Katniss, at modstanden mod Panems totalitære styre ulmer, men den iskoldt manipulerende Præsident Snow er allerede i gang med at forberede de 75. Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – en helt ny og twistet version af konkurrencen, hvis ultimative resultat meget vel kan ændre Panems fremtid for altid…THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE er instrueret af Francis Lawrence og produceret af Nina Jacobsons Color Force i samarbejde med producer Jon Kilik.
