DEEPWATER HORIZON
Synopsis
Efter en række katastrofale - men menneskeskabte – omstændigheder, eksploderede boreplatformen Deepwater Horizon den 20. april 2010 i den mexicanske golf. Ulykken resulterede efterfølgende i en af verdenshistoriens største og mest ødelæggende olieforureningskatastrofer. Filmen ærer de modige mænd og kvinder på boreplatformen, hvis heltemod i timerne efter katastrofen reddede mange menneskeliv. Den desperate kamp for overlevelse mod det uundgåelige på en frygtelig dag, kom til at ændre alles liv for altid… I hovedrollerne ses bl.a. Mark Wahlberg (Transformers: Age of Extinction), Kate Hudson (Mother’s Day), Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner), Ethan Suplee (The Wolf of Wall Street), Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight), Gina Rodriguez (Go for it!), John Malkovich (RED & RED2) og mange andre. Filmen er instrueret af Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, Battleship) efter manuskript af Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Snowman) og Matthew Sand (Ninja Assassin) og produceret af Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (Transformers: Age of Extinction), m.fl. Filmen har dansk biografpremiere 29. september 2016 og distribueres i Danmark af Nordisk Film.
