DARLING
Synopsis
DARLING er et bevægende kærlighedsdrama om en kvinde på sit livs rutschetur, en moderne fortælling om en kvindes storhed og fald, kærlighed under alvorligt pres og om modet til at turde rejse sig efter alt synes forbi. Den verdensberømte danske balletstjerne Darling og hendes mand, koreografen Frans, vender under stor bevågenhed for første gang i årevis tilbage til København, hvor de sammen skal opføre klassikeren ”Giselle” på Det Kongelige Teater. Men på en af de første prøvedage indtræffer katastrofen: Darling falder om med smerter, hoften er slidt op. Balletkarrieren er færdig. Frans må arbejde videre med en anden. Sønderknust forsøger Darling at redde sin plads i verden ved at holde sig tæt på sin kunst og sin mand. Hun begynder at træne sin unge afløser Polly op til rollen som Giselle. Men i takt med, at Polly begynder at folde sig ud som Giselle, begynder Darlings liv at smuldre.
