Synopsis
Hver morgen tager Rachel Watson toget på arbejde, og hver morgen passerer hun et bestemt hus, hvor et ungt, smukt par bor. Tynget af sorg over sin egen skilsmisse begynder Rachel at fantasere om det unge par og deres perfekte liv. Men en dag ser Rachel noget, der chokerer hende dybt, og næste dag bliver kvinden fra huset efterlyst. Rachel begynder at blande sig i efterforskningen, men må hurtigt indse, at hun ikke er et pålideligt vidne, for kan Rachel overhoved stole på sig selv?
